Fawk Rush Poker

Being on the West Coast is brutal. I have been summoned to the SVP in charge of IT here because they apparently don't have enough bandwidth to get files streamed between corporate sites and handle Waffles IM barrage as he plays Rush poker.

How the fuck do you stream so many hand comments?

Could you multi-table please to slow IM down?

Fawk if Cisco's servers can't handle the traffic then who can?

Saturday Night Rush

Decided Saturday Night 'Rush Poker' would be a good idea.

Lesson from graph above is to get your money in bad.
Hand 1 I got it in with top set against 2 flush draws (neither nut flush draws) and one of them went runner runner straight.

Hand 2 I got it in with Top pair, nut flush draw and went runner runner straight against middle set.

Lesson 1 from Saturday is get it in bad.
Lesson 2 is it is trivial to get in 700 hands.

Somehow I find it fitting that Brett Favre threw an interception in Conference Championship game as both a Packer and Viking on throws that could most kindly be labeled 'reckless'.

Vikings and Saints both have fine (long suffering) fan bases, but after scenes from Katrina it is hard to not to be happy for New Orleans.

"Move it Shorty"

It seems like a fine expression when a short stack at table is holding up game making a decision every hand.

It does not seem like respect when "Move it Shorty" is said by the Demon Child as she walks behind her mother. Now I am beginning to wonder is kid really still growing or is my wife shrinking?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

To review a betting sequence:

1) Democrats in Massachusetts expect Kerry to beat Bush in 2004.

2) Governor is Republican so they change long established rules from Governor appoints interim Senator to call for special election.

3) Kerry loses.

4) Devan Patrick (Dem) wins Governors Office.

5) Senator Kennedy dies.

6) Republican Senate candidate wins Teddy's old seat, putting in doubt legislation Senator Kennedy worked for most of his career.

Well played Massachusetts Democrats!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I played super turbos rather than the new "Rush Poker" to get my requisite 100 point goal.
I am behind ironman bonus clearing pace at this point, but tutoring demon child in algebra plus new project at work is kicking my ass.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I had a change of heart and played some 'Rush Poker', I had heard play was terrible so gave it a shot. It took ~40 minutes to get in 150 hands and win 2.5 buyins.

Happy Martin Luther King Day

A large company like Cisco that produces products that sell to consumers as well (linksys routers) closes for the Holiday.

A Canadian Company with one US citizen employee does not. My cube is a little messy so I will go clean it up since they are planning to hire and may give away my cube while I work at Cisco.

1st BLT on Tilt saw a 98th of 30k+
2nd BLT saw a finish of 8000 (7500 paid) when I jammed 99 into only player at table who could bust me
3rd BLT I had 4 BB when money bubble broke. I had gotten a little discouraged when I ran KK into AA for the 3rd time of the day (and held KK 4 times total) . I day 5/5 to rumning QQ into higher KK or AA.

Managed to roach and climb to 50 BBs when I not only went card dead but a player to my right who raised every flop and was capable of this play:

My response to NBC

Got to be honest, I would usually watch 'Late Night with Craig Ferguson rather than 'Conan' when both started at 12:30. My decision to watch Letterman vs. Conan vs. Nightline/Kimmel is more dictated by whether I cared enough about one of the guests or to see Letterman look sheepish about blackmail for his own indiscretions or Tiger after his or recently lately to see Conan rip on NBC. I am part of Conan's audience lead in problem because the only chance I watch Leno at 10 is if it is Tuesday night and demon child wants to see contestant voted off 'The Biggest Loser'.

That being said I have decided that NBC has fucked up and I will not watch the latest edition of 'The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'. I will also not appear on the 'The Tonight Show' unless Conan is the host.

Someday my boycott on appearing will be significant even if it is not today. Sadly if all my readers also boycotted appearing it would only bother NBC when waffles finally cracks and goes on an angry killing spree or LJ aggrodonks her way to WSOP bracelet.

Not much happening on poker front other than losing last 8 times I have gotten all in pre with KK or QQ. 3 losses to higher pocket pairs, 2 to lower pocket pairs other 3 to mighty Arag. Wish I could be like Hoy and run like god with A-rag once.

Your Welcome

In honor of waffles I used wrong 'your' in the title intentionally.

I read Hoy for his picks, I get 10 emails a week from Wayne Root and his ilk. I have never paid for picks, until Friday. Now that we are down to just 4 games I don't get to select which games to put in a 4 card parlay. Felt good about Dallas, but the other two rematches featured a team that made no effort in week 17.

Then I remembered:
'Man's got to know his limitations'

MiamiDon had told me long ago that a good handicapper hits 70% but what you want is the perfect cooler. We in the blogger community have one and we should appreciate his 'skillz'.

Prelude to SCOOP

I started my blog in 1996 to gain entry into Blogger Championship. Feel I have to keep registering especially in light of the pokerstars freebies from the last longer challenge.

4,2

I work at the bottom left of the 'N' in Nimitz Freeway.

Quake was only 4.2 but epicenter is only 6 miles away but it still felt like riding in a truck with bad shocks. Being long term California I of course rose to my feet to surf it.

Demon Tale

My wife finally drove after 18 month hiatus. Unfortunately to be honest everything that was in the car on the day of seizure was still in car as I did not drive her car very often including a few sunflower seeds that seemed to attract a mouse. Our only real evidence of the mouse was some really shredded up paper that looked like a small nest.

Today my wife and the demon daughter cleaned up the car together. During the course of cleanup daughter found her 'black plague' project which conveniently included a mouse finger puppet.

Evil daughter hid the puppet for a little while and slipped in pocket and waited for the right opportunity. As wife drove to car clean up area to use the vacuum the demon child slipped puppet on her finger and snuck it onto wife's shoulder as she parked.

Screams (from wife) and laughter (from demon child) ensued.

Is it wrong that I feel some pride?
