Someday I will learn how to fold an overpair. Head's up is a lot easier to play once you have a 2:1 chip lead.

Bayne finally takes lead after roughly 60 hands where we fouglt within 1500 of starting stacks.
Had jeciimd in for all his chips a little later with AJ (me) vs. J9 ( jeciimd) but he endded up with a 9s over Js boat.

Great playin' last night, and my apologies for the suckout (as I had said, my push was more of a surrender than it ended up being). Hope we can do it again sometime.
Triple, quadruple, uber boo to you for calling off 260 chips (a full fifth of your stack) with just the 7-high flush draw after my raise on that flop bet in our first round heads-up matchup. That is so not a +EV play over time. But hey it worked for you and I give you credit for that. Nice job in the HU tourney overall yesterday, fun playing with you as always. Nice run in the Hoy this past Monday as well, wish I had been there to knock you out earlier. Next time, like you said last night.
Just glad I didn't have to face you in the HU challenge. Maybe next time you'll get a piece of me.
Now we have finally hit on the questionable thing that I did.
Calling off 1/5 of my stack on a 7 high flush draw, IF I am sure my flush is good I can justify it with a combination of pot odds plus implied odds if 1 in 5 chance of hitting heart on turn happens.
Can't say one is ever sure a 7 high flush is good.
i think when your name is bayne_s it's a safe bet.
