Red Sox Implosion

Heard Nomar quote this morning:
"If we want to go down the list... now we're hearing about Terry Francona, before Terry ... it was Johnny Damon, before him you had Derek Lowe, you had Pedro Martinez, you had Manny Ramirez, you had myself, then you had Mo Vaughn, then you had Roger Clemens, then you had Jim Rice, Carl Yastrzemski, and oh, by the way, one Ted Williams. So the list is pretty good, pretty prestigious, but it seems to happen. So there's a pattern. Is it all these guys that are bad or is there something more here."

Not sure if it was Rome or Cowherd that said in response, ~"People in New England are short and angry when young, eventually some get taller".

I was 16 when I started rooting for Red Sox as I had not lived near a Major League team prior to moving to Westford. I am quite disgusted by the treatment Francona has received in press. Only a matter of time before Theo gets trashed in press as well. I thought both would drink free forever.

I agree it is a no class move.

I've been a sox fan since I 9 yrs old. I know what you're saying.

I think it's easy to blame the guy that's left. It happens alot in work as well. All of a sudden everything is the fault of the guy who isn't here.

short? moi? I thought I would've gotten the angry link!

Red Sox fan by virtue of my birth. Francona is welcome in my home anytime. He can do no wrong in my eyes. Theo's time, however, has come.

Of course I read that story lightning.

It is the leaked quotes about Francona in that that had to come from Red Sox employee that annoy me no end.

The stories about Beckett only matter when he gets out of shape and is not as effective but Jack McKeon won a World Series when Beckett was younger.

When I was in my 20s playing rugby my eating/drinking habits probably involved consumption of 50-100% more calories than today and I was still lighter and stronger from all the exercise.

A little drama is always interesting. My White Sox will have much less now the Ozzie is gone

Thinks are starting to get real ugly in and around the Red Sox camp, on radio, cable, etc. it's a complete circus now. I guess it would implode eventually in a new and spectacular fashion...
