In a funk

My mindset is really not right for poker, but I continue to play.

My uncle that taught me about investing (though he refused to teach me about selling short or buying puts) died today due to cancer.  Unfortunate thing about reaching mid 40s is the older generation of your family tends to be passing.

My parents and sister visited him this past weekend and shared a story that made me smile.

"Aunt Becky appears to be holding up fairly well.  All his affairs have been taken care of including funeral arrangements.  He will be cremated with the services at Wrightsville Beach at the Methodist Church.  Becky still had enough spunk left to give the funeral home a dressing down.  They tried to sell her a $9,000 casket and she asked it they were out of their fucking minds.  She wasn't   accustomed to burning boxes that expensive.  This harangue apparently went on for a few minutes.   I think they were glad to finally get her out of there.  The ashes will be placed in a Memorial Bench which has space for two."
