Family is still in Florida for 2 more days. These separate vacations always remind me that I really like having the family despite my daughter telling me" "You are annoying" or "I don't like you", I can tell she misses me because she got on the phone yesterday to yell "I am going to get you for giving Mommy this cold which she gave me". I have found that piling a few pillows and blankets up on wife's side of bed helps me sleep. Other aspects of wife have no substitute.
It dawned on me at work today that I have been designing very similar boards, that pug into very similar systems for eight years. The boards and systems have more "features" but that is software driven and has introduced very little change in what I do. Have to figure out how to make work more interesting.
House being quiet has gotten old, but poker without distractions has been +EV.
The 2 hands below illustrate a very important PL O8 concept:
Betting a low that is A2 or A3 can be -EV

ha! i love that daughter yelling at you is a sign she misses you.
curious how you will make work more interesting...side bets on how long to fix a board?
well done in your plo8 games!
I realize that you may not care and that it's been quite a while since you posted this, but I was randomly searching my nickname. I noticed that you critique me (BlueCobalt) in the second hand by suggesting that I put in a lot of money on the turn with merely the nut low. Please note that I also had the nut flush draw, a gut-shot, and two of the deuces (which makes it less likely that one of y'all had A2). Generally speaking, taking into account hand ranges, this isn't a -EV situation. Granted, my split opponent had a very similar hand...though he picked up his nut flush draw on the turn.
